Removing Family Members

  1. Click Participants on the Navigation Bar

  2. View / Edit Families

  3. Search for the Family

  4. Click the trash can icon to remove the participant from the family.

5. A pop-up will ask you to confirm whether you would like to remove or delete the family member:

  • Remove will remove the participant but keep a record of their work/history with the family.

  • Delete will remove the participant from the family and delete all records of their work/history with the family.

Deleting a family member will remove them entirely from this family's composition history. If family history needs to be maintained, use the remove option and enter the date when they should be removed from the family.

Deleting Families

  1. Click Participants on the Navigation Bar

  2. Select View / Edit Families

  3. Search for the Family

  4. Click Delete Family then Continue

You can use this option to delete families that contain zero participants or families that were made improperly. This does not delete the individual participants from ETO, it only removes the family grouping from the records.

Deleting a family will not delete TouchPoint responses, but will instead link the responses to each individual participant in the family and remove their links to the Family ID.

Disabling Families

  1. Click Participants on the Navigation Bar

  2. Select View / Edit Families

  3. Search for the Family

  4. Click Disable Family

This option removes that family from showing up as an option to take TouchPoints.

This will not remove the individual participants from ETO. Unlike deleting families, disabling does keep a record of the family's work and history.

After disabling, the family will only be searchable if you click the Include Disabled Families button.

This button will change to say "Enable Family" once the family is disabled; click this to re-enable.
