What is the Participant Fly-Out Menu?

The Participant Fly-Out Menu is the small menu that pops out when a User who searches for a Participant in the Quick Search clicks the Participant's name. From this menu, users can select and perform several tasks related to that Participant.

Add Links to Fly-Out Menu

To add links to the Participant Fly-Out menu, please complete the following steps:

  1. Click on the "My Favorites" link on the Navigation Bar.

2. Click on the "Add Drop Down" link button towards the top of the screen.

3. Select the links that you would like to show in the fly-out menu.

4. Scroll down and click "Submit."

The links you have selected will now appear in the Participant Fly-Out Menu.

Add Participant Dashboard to Fly-Out Menu

Under Site Administration > Manage My Site, there is a setting to show a link to the Participant's Dashboard in the fly-out menu.

Delete Links from Fly-Out Menu

You can navigate to the My Favorites page and remove any links added via the Add Drop Down Link by either unchecking features manually or selecting "Clear all Drop-Down Links from Favorites".

You may also choose to remove access features from the Site Navigation bar, which would remove them from the fly-out menu as well.

Step 1 – Click "Site Administration" on the Navigation Bar.

Step 2 – Click "Manage Site Navigation".

Step 3 – Uncheck the feature that describes what you'd like to be removed in the "Participants" section under "Component".

Depending on what User role you'd like to disable a particular feature for, you may need to create a CxRule under "Manage Rules".

Step 4 – Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Submit to save your changes.
