This element creates a box that the user can type open-ended answers in.
Step 1 - Enter the question text in the text box.
Step 2 - Select the maximum number of characters a user can enter when filling out this question.
By default the character limit is set to 250 characters.
The maximum allotted characters can be 8000.
If the limit is set to 150 or lower the box will show as one line; anything greater than 150 will be a larger text area.
Step 3 - Select if you would like to use a pseudonym.
Step 4 - Select if you would like to capture one response for multiple subjects.
This is used for participant (multiple), entity (multiple), family, and collection subject types.
Step 5 - Select if this question requires an answer before being saved.
Step 6 - Set the question placement options.

When filling out the text element type, simply center text into the box to record an answer.
