It can be necessary to switch back and forth between read-only Reading and editing Design mode at any time while the report is open.
With a Results report open, look in the upper-right corner of the Results window, where you will find a Button called Edit.
To view the report in edit mode, click the Edit button to highlight it. In Design mode, the structure of the report and data providers can be modified.
To view the report in read-only mode, click the Edit button so that it is not highlighted, the wrench icon will no longer be available in this mode. In Reading mode, the report can be run and updated but cannot be edited.
