Overview
ETO Workflow is a powerful feature that helps organizations streamline and enforce their processes and protocols. They govern how an individual moves through the various programs your organization offers, including which TouchPoint forms need to be filled out at various stages of an individual's enrollment in a program.

We're excited to announce the ETO Workflow Cross-Check feature that improves the usability of workflows for our customers! The Workflow Cross-Check feature allows users to manually update Workflows to recognize and check off the following data points that are completed outside of the Workflow:
TouchPoints
Demographic changes
Referrals
Dismissals
Enrollments
Caseload assignments
Releases of information
Note: ETO Workflow Cross-Check does not pull TouchPoint data from past enrollments where the Participant was dismissed. It also only pulls TouchPoint data available in the current Site, not across the whole Enterprise.
This enhancement addresses specific customer feedback submitted through the Ideas Portal and is available to all ETO clients as of January 31, 2025.
What is Workflow Cross-Check?
A "Refresh" button is now available at the bottom-right of the Workflow dashboard part of the Participant Dashboard. Clicking this button will mark any recently submitted data points as complete in the Workflow, even if they were submitted before navigating to the Workflow. It will also include the date and time the Refresh button was last used.
Important: Workflow Cross-Check is not automated. Users must manually click this Refresh button on the Workflow dashboard part to update the Workflow progress.
How to Enable Workflow Cross-Check
We've implemented a Site setting to enable or disable the Workflow Cross-Check functionality for Site Managers and Enterprise Managers.
To manage this setting for your users, expand the Site Administration category of the ETO navigation bar and select "Manage My Site". Then, click the "Miscellaneous Settings" tab at the top of the page.
Check the "Enable Workflow Cross-Check" box to display the Refresh button on the Workflow dashboard part or uncheck the box to remove it. Be sure to click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
How to Use Workflow Cross-Check
To use the ETO Workflow Cross-Check feature:
Log into your ETO instance and navigate to a Participant's dashboard who is enrolled in a workflow.
Locate the Workflow dashboard part on the Participant's dashboard.
Click the green "Refresh" button in the bottom-right corner of the Workflow part.
The checkboxes on the left-hand side of the Workflow will update to reflect any applicable data points that were completed outside of the Workflow. The "Workflow status last updated" information next to the Refresh button will also change to reflect the current date and time.
