Dashboard Part | Workflows

#EndUser

Updated over a year ago

The Workflows ETO Part is used in conjunction with the Workflow Add-On. If your Enterprise does not have this add-on, you will not be able to use this part.

Before you begin working with workflows, you will need to turn on Review Participant Workflow. To access, you will need to expand Site Administration, then access Manage Site Navigation, and navigate to Participant History.

This ETO Part is only available on the Participant Dashboard.

The Workflow ETO Part displays the workflows that the participant is currently active in from the participant's dashboard.

You can click on the Review Participant Workflow link to be taken to Review Participant Workflows page.

Simple Vs. In-Depth View

There are two different views for the ETO Part.

Simple View

The simple view allows the user to see which workflows the participant is currently enrolled in, the number of steps completed out of the total number of steps in the workflow, and the completion percentage.

In-Depth View

The in-depth view shows all the features of the simple view but also includes the ability to expand the workflow details and adds a next actions column so that the user knows at a glance the next checkpoint they must complete in the workflow. If the next checkpoint is a step, the user can click on the link and be taken directly to the feature needed to complete the step.

Note: To turn on In-Depth View, refer to Step 4 below.

Editing

Step 1 - To edit the Workflow part, click Edit Dashboard at the top of the page.

Step 2 - You can restore, minimize, disable, delete, or edit the part by clicking on the associated icon.

Step 3 - When editing the part, you can re-title the part and set the layout.

  • Chrome State: Normal will start the part immediately upon landing on the dashboard. Minimized may work best for dashboards that take a long time to load, but will require the user to expand the part if they wish to view the report.

  • Zone and zone index: Zone index is the ranking of the part in that zone, where zero is the closest to the top of the page.

Step 4 - To switch to In-Depth View, check the boxes for "Allow ability to expand workflow details" and "Show next action column". Then click Apply.
